Ismail Gunacar (Undergrad) earns his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from UC's McMicken College of Arts and Sciences, making him the second-youngest to ever earn a UC baccalaureate degree. [UC News Story] [WCPO News Story]

Angela Galli (Undergrad) received the 2015 Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society Award for a senior chemistry major who demonstrated excellence in the major field, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and is graduating Magna cum laude with Departmental Honors.

Lauren McKenzie (Undergrad) received the 2015 Biochemistry Prize for the biochemistry major showing great promise and potential and is graduating with Departmental Honors.

Sarah Venus (Undergrad) received the 2015 McMicken College of Arts & Sciences Eleanor Hicks Award, the 2015 Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society Award for a senior chemistry major who demonstrated excellence in the major field, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and is graduating Summa cum laude with Departmental High Honors.

Amber Volmer (Undergrad) received the 2015 Henry Storch Award to the senior chemistry major with the highest grade point average in subjects outside the major area and is graduating Magna cum laude with Departmental Honors.

Mellie June Paulines (Graduate Student) was recognized with the Robert M. Koppenhoefer Research Associate Award as the outstanding second year graduate student in biochemistry. 

Rob Ross (Graduate Student) was recognized with the Henry Hochstetter Prize for excellent performance as a TA.
